Frequently Asked Questions
What websites does the extension work with? +
Any website with a file upload field, media library, form file input, or drag-and-drop zone. This includes client gallery platforms, page builders, CMS admin panels, social media schedulers, print labs, and internal tools. If the page doesn't have a standard file input, Syncific shows a draggable panel so you can drop files into any upload area manually.
Do I need a Syncific account? +
Yes. You connect your creative sources once at app.syncific.com, then paste your license key into the extension. The extension reads your connected sources from your Syncific account — no need to authenticate each source separately in the extension.
What file formats are supported? +
The extension can output Original (whatever your source provides), JPEG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF (browser support required). Most sources deliver JPEG or PNG natively. You choose the output format per sync using a dropdown in the extension drawer.
Does the extension track my browsing? +
No. Syncific only activates when you click the extension icon. There is no background tracking, no browsing data collection, and no content scripts running on pages you haven't explicitly activated the extension on. The only data sent to Syncific is sync activity (which asset was synced to which page) when you initiate a sync.
How is this different from downloading and re-uploading? +
Syncific skips the download-to-desktop step entirely. You browse your source libraries inside the extension drawer, select images, and they're injected directly into the page's upload field. Every sync is tracked in your Syncific sync map so you know exactly what's been synced where — across every website you use.
Does it work with multi-page Canva designs? +
Yes. Multi-page Canva designs appear as folders in the extension. Click into one to see individual pages, select the ones you need, and sync them individually. Each page is exported and synced as a separate image.
What permissions does the extension require? +
Three minimal permissions: activeTab (access only the current tab when you click the icon), storage (save your session locally), and scripting (inject the drawer UI on demand). No broad host permissions, no background page access, no browsing history access.
Does it work with the Syncific web app? +
Yes. The extension and the web app share the same sync map. Assets you sync via the extension appear in your Syncific sync map and activity log, visible from the web app. Assets synced via the web app show as already-synced in the extension with visual badges.
