What Happens When You Hit Publish

1

Syncific authenticates with Adobe

Using your stored OAuth token (AES-256 encrypted in the broker), Syncific requests the full-resolution rendition from Lightroom Cloud. Your token never leaves the broker server.

2

Original downloaded once

The photo is fetched from Adobe's CDN at full resolution. This happens once regardless of how many destinations you are publishing to. Fetch-once, deliver-many.

3

Format conversion per destination

Syncific converts the photo to the optimal format for each destination: AVIF for Webflow and Contentful (best compression), WebP for WordPress and HubSpot (broadest compatibility). Your Lightroom original is never modified.

4

Parallel delivery to all destinations

Optimized copies are pushed to all selected CMS platforms simultaneously via their native APIs. WordPress via REST API, Webflow via Assets API, Contentful via Management API, HubSpot via File Manager API.

5

Metadata applied

Alt text, title, caption, and keywords from Lightroom XMP data are extracted and applied to each destination. If AI enrichment is enabled, Syncific generates SEO-optimized alt text using page context.

6

Sync map recorded

Every source-to-destination relationship is stored. When you re-edit this photo in Lightroom, Syncific knows exactly which destinations have it and can update them all in place.

Your Lightroom Metadata, Everywhere

XMP Title and Caption

If you have titled or captioned photos in Lightroom, Syncific extracts these from the XMP metadata and applies them as the asset title and description at each destination.

Keywords as Tags

Lightroom keywords are extracted and can be mapped to destination-specific tag fields. On WordPress, they become media tags. On Contentful, they populate custom tag fields.

AI-Enhanced Alt Text

When AI enrichment is enabled, Syncific generates descriptive alt text using the photo content, Lightroom metadata, and the page context where the image will appear. Alt text aligns with your GSC ranking queries when available.

EXIF Data Preserved

Camera model, lens, exposure settings, GPS coordinates (if present) — EXIF data travels with the photo through the pipeline. Useful for portfolio sites that display shooting details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I publish Lightroom photos directly to Webflow without exporting? +

Yes. Syncific connects to Lightroom Cloud via Adobe's OAuth API. You browse your albums directly in Syncific, select photos, and publish to Webflow in one step. No export to your hard drive, no manual upload.

How do I import a Lightroom album into Contentful? +

Connect Adobe Lightroom as a source in Syncific, then add Contentful as a destination using your Contentful Management API key. Browse to your Lightroom album in Syncific, select the photos you want to publish, and click Publish.

Does Syncific support Lightroom Classic or only Lightroom Cloud? +

Syncific currently supports Lightroom Cloud (the subscription-based version) via Adobe's OAuth API. Lightroom Classic stores files locally and does not have an OAuth-accessible cloud API.

What image format does Syncific use when publishing to Webflow? +

Syncific converts Lightroom photos to AVIF format when delivering to Webflow, as Webflow's CDN fully supports AVIF and it delivers the best combination of quality and file size (typically 80-90% smaller than the original JPEG).

How does Syncific handle Lightroom photo updates after initial publish? +

Syncific maintains a source-to-destination map for every published asset. When you update a photo in Lightroom (re-edit, crop, replace), Syncific detects the change and updates the asset in place at every connected destination.

Is there a limit to how many Lightroom photos I can publish through Syncific? +

No hard limit. Syncific processes large batches asynchronously — photos queue through the delivery pipeline and land in your destination without timeouts.

Do I need to install anything on my Webflow or Contentful account to use Syncific? +

No. Syncific connects to Webflow via the Webflow Assets API and to Contentful via the Contentful Management API. No plugin, extension, or agent is installed on either platform.
